Auto Electrical System Repair
Austin Mobile Mechanics offers premium auto electrical system repair for motorists in Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville, and Cedar Park. Most cars today are built with a computerized system featuring wires, sensors, connections, and other parts which all communicate back and forth with each other to keep your vehicle performing its best. However, these electrical systems are also getting much more intricate and do-it-yourself car lovers are going to have trouble taking care of basic repair jobs on their own. It's a much better idea to bring your vehicle into us for scheduled maintenance, or if you believe you may have a problem with your car's electrical system. Come on down to Austin Mobile Mechanics and see what we can do for your auto electrical system repair. We service all car owners in Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Cedar Park, Jollyville, Del Valle and other surrounding areas.
The two most important parts of a car's electrical system are the battery and the alternator. We offer both car battery repairs. Your car's battery is responsible for providing power to the engine so that your car can run and get you from one place to another safely. The battery is also responsible for providing power to the other electrical accessories which are installed in your car. If your car is having problems starting, or if there are noticeable problems with the electronics in your car (i.e. the headlights aren't coming on, the radio won't come on or will randomly shut off, the display on your dash won't light up, etc.), then it's a good indication that you have a problem with your battery. To determine if your car's battery is having problems, we will perform a series of diagnostic tests. These tests will tell us if the battery is having a problem with holding a charge or if it is at the end of its life.
Your car's alternator produces electricity which is used to preserve the battery's storage charge. It's often responsible for providing a lot of the power for your car's electrical systems, including the ignition and other engine controls. This car part is driven by a belt from the engine and it creates an alternating current. There's a common myth that the alternator is constantly producing electricity, and this is not true. It only works to help the battery. If you think your car may have an alternator problem, bring it into our ASE certified mechanics in Austin. Again, the symptoms for an alternator problem would be similar to that of a battery problem. We will check all circuits and determine what auto electrical repairs will be necessary.
Car Computer Systems Maintenance
As mentioned earlier, nearly all cars on the road today have an elaborate electrical system in place, and this is why you need professional car computer systems maintenance to ensure that these valuable systems are functioning as they should when you're out on the road. Nearly all systems in your car are controlled by a computer, including the: starter, alternator, fuel injection, air conditioning and heating, engine control modules, and many other important components. Our mechanics will be sure to do a comprehensive diagnostic test on your car's computer system to make sure that everything is in good, working order. We will let you know if there's any damaged sensor, wire, connection, etc. that will need to be repaired or replaced, and we will then do the work for you.
If you think there's something wrong with your car, it's a good idea to have us check out the electrical and computer systems. Often times, problems could lie within a dirty connection, loose wire, or a damaged sensor.
